Rwanda Safaris
3 DAYS: VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
DAY 1: KIGALI
You'll land at Kigali International Airport (TBA).
Akagera Aviation can help you arrange a meet & greet. Our representative will then get you through customs and immigration and meet you outside.
Upon arrival, transfer to your city hotel and get check-in assistance.
The tour briefing will take place in the lobby. Dinner will be served at the hotel's main restaurant.
Then you'll spend the night at the hotel.
4 DAYS: GORILLAS AND GOLDEN MONKEYS SAFARI
DAY 1: VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
The driver-guide will meet you at your chosen residence or the Kigali airport and bring you to Volcanoes National Park, which is located north of Ruhengeri. Travel across undulating and attractive terraced hills to get a sense of Rwanda's general terrain and altitude. You'll spend the evening unwinding at the lodge before embarking on your trip the next day.
DAY 2: BWINDI
Following a briefing, you will embark on the golden monkey hunt. The adventure begins at 7 a.m. at the Kinigi Park headquarters, from whence you will journey into the forest in search of these endangered animals. The tracking experience lasts around four hours, which includes a one-hour interaction with them. They'll be rolling around on the bamboo stalks and showing off (their shyness has been diminished by habit). Consider the look on their silver patch's face.
6 DAYS : GRATE APES AND LAKE KIVU
DAY 1: KIGALI CITY TOUR
Your guide will meet you at your hotel (or another agreed-upon location in Central Kigali) and take you on a fascinating tour of Kigali's history, culture, art, and markets.
We may end at the Kigali Genocide Memorial, which is both moving and tragic.
Stop for lunch at one of the colorful Kigali cafes recommended by us that are popular with locals but not well-known to foreigners. Whether we book ahead of time or your guide assists you in making a decision on the moment, you will experience delicious meals and a warm Rwandan welcome!
Drive to Musanze in the afternoon to visit Volcanoes National Park. When you arrive, proceed to the lodge, where you will spend the remainder of the evening. Tiloreza Volcanoes Ecolodge is where you'll eat and sleep.
Tiloreza is a boutique operator that provides tourists with exceptional levels of luxury through a variety of villas. Their restaurant has a fantastic view of the Volcanoes.
9 DAYS: GORILLAS, CHIMPANZEES AND GOLDEN MONKEYS
DAY 1: KIGALI
You arrive at Kigali International Airport, where your private guide will greet you and bring you to your Rwandan hotel to relax after your travel. The trip to the hotel in Kigali takes around 15 minutes. You'll check in here and spend the night.
DAY 2: AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK
We wake up early today and travel to Akagera National Park. We want to spend the day at the park, which is around 2-3 hours away from Kigali.
It is Rwanda's only savanna park, and it is being restored to Big 5 status through translocations and the introduction of new species such as lions and rhinos as part of an incredible conservation story. We'll visit the park, go on a drive, and then do a boat safari on Lake Ihema. Lunch will be given at the park, and we will return to Kigali in the evening for an overnight stay before traveling south to Nyungwe National Park.
