MALINDI MARINE NATIONAL PARK AND RESERVE

malindi marine national parkAround 110 kilometers north of Mombasa, near Malindi, is where it is located. Beautiful coral gardens, fringing reefs, seagrass beds, mangroves, mudflats, marine animals, and many shorebird species are all found there. Bird watching, camping, diving, glass-bottomed boat excursions, sunbathing, water skiing, windsurfing, and snorkeling are all excellent activities there.

ARABUKO SOKOKE NATIONAL RESERVE

One of the longest tracts of native coastal dry woodland in East Africa may be found there. Around 400 square kilometers make up the section. It is a well-known location for nature walks, cycling, camping, and activities like bird viewing and game drives.

VASCO DA GAMA PILLAR

JUMBA LA MTWANA

Around 4 kilometers separate it from the Mombasa-Malindi highway. The Swahili word "Jumba la Mtwana" means "the big mansion of the slave." It is a national monument that includes four mansions, courts, and the kibla in addition to old mosques. In 1982, it was declared a national monument.

MALINDI MUSEUM

It's in the town of Malindi. Coastal residents and ancient Arabs both left behind artifacts and cultural exhibits in the museum. It also serves as a resource for information on local events and attractions in Malindi and its surroundings.

GEDI RUINS

It is a historical landmark and national museum that is situated around sixteen kilometers south of Malindi. Gedi Ruins are the ruins of an ancient Swahili settlement known as Gedi, which was populated by Omani residents, traders, and sailors. To understand more about the earliest Swahili civilization, you may join guided tours of the nearby ruins, museum, and information center.

WATAMU MARINE NATIONAL PARK AND RESERVE

One of the greatest marine parks in Kenya, it is home to a variety of fish, turtles, dugongs, lizard buzzards, and other marine creatures. The Indian Ocean's sandy beaches, snorkeling, water skiing, windsurfing, and glass-bottom boat cruises may all be enjoyed there.

MIDA CREEK

The creek is tidal and extends from the ocean to the Arabuko Sokoke woodland. It is the ideal place to go kayaking and an incredible place to go bird viewing. Water activities like wakeboarding and water skiing are perfect there. Also, it has a 260-meter walk board, which is ideal for family and friends' hikes outdoors. The location also has a restaurant and a mini-bar.

WATAMU BEACH

A serene sandy beach may be found at Watamu. It is a well-liked location for swimming, boat trips, diving, snorkeling, and other water activities. For those who enjoy peace, it is the ideal location.

MNARANI RUINS

Around 200 meters off the Mombasa-Mali road, the Mnarani Ruins are situated in Kilifi and have a southern view of Kilifi Creek. Mosques, a madrassa, and a collection of pillars and tombs make comprise this structure.
